Peter Fuzes is Public Sector Industry Leader in the ECEMEA region of Oracle Corporation since 2008. In this role, Peter is providing executive support and expertise at large and strategic government projects, especially with those introducing state-of-the-art technologies in the area of e-Government and m-Government. Lately, he is having oversight on how to manage government cloud expectations to deliver high business value at low operational cost. He continues to draw on his global and international experiences assisting governments with sharing knowhows and best practices from various countries in different continents in order to replicate successful government projects to provide better services to their citizens.
His main responsibilities also include providing proactive managerial support and expertise to Oracle country operations by engaging with account teams dedicated to large PS opportunities and by leveraging resources of the Public Sector Center of Excellence, he manages.
Prior to his regional role, he held a prestigious position by being the Country Leader of Oracle Hungary from 2002 to 2008.
Before joining Oracle, Peter Fuzes held a senior position at Avaya Communications. As a Regional Director he was responsible for Avaya’s activities in Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and former Yugoslavia.
After completing his tertiary studies he started his carreer as a software developer and project manager at Novotrade.
In 1990 he graduated from the Budapest University of Technology. He continued his studies and received an MSc degree in Economics from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences in 1997. He attended at Columbia University’s Senior Executive Program in New York in 2001.
As a recognition of his work in introducing state-of-the art information technology solutions and for supporting and strenghtening the Hungarian IT sector’s international role László Sólyom, President of the Republic granted the Merit of the Hungarian Republic, Knight’s Cross to Peter Fuzes.
He is married and has 3 children, spends his free time with his family and fond of playing squash.
